Like all businesses, agencies need a sense of confidentiality and focus on their organizations where they can work through issues that affect their industry specifically with other like-minded owners. They need an objective owner-based group of people they can get to know well that will encourage them and challenge them through their journey of entrepreneurship.

Purpose of the Groups:

Like all businesses, agencies need a sense of confidentiality and focus on their organizations where they can work through issues that affect their industry specifically with other like-minded owners. They need an objective owner-based group of people they can get to know well that will encourage them and challenge them through their journey of entrepreneurship.

Consider this: think how effective it would be for you to be in a group of 8 to 10 agency owners at your same stage of growth that you could leverage to wrestle through difficult HR, growth, sales, and team building efforts. These are collaborators, not competitors, and this would all be done privately, confidentially, with a mix of in person and virtual meetings throughout the year.

Here are the stipulations to this group:

  • This group is your Board of Directors so to speak, so sharing financials, HR issues, and all growth related wins and losses is required. A Confidentiality/NDA agreement will be required before joining the group.
  • The groups are by invitation only and there is an interview process before joining.
    • The ABGs are not for operational leaders – only entrepreneurial executives, owners, and partners wading through large agency growth issues
  • You must have a minimum of $1 million in revenue to join.
  • You must be in an expansion mindset and growing the agency, and growing as an individual leader as well (personal growth will be vetted out in the interviews)
  • You must meet monthly in a recurring meeting and discuss whether you are meeting your goals, and why and why not? Each owner leads and everyone responds.
  • We will present everyone’s financials side-by-side per our proprietary summarized P&L model with related metrics.
    • We’ll use 2023 as our base year for financials and add to the comparison each quarter.

Mechanics and Meetings:

  • Jason Blumer, CPA and Julie Shipp will facilitate the ABGs.
  • There will be a speaker sourced by Blumer at each live summer get together.
  • We’ll open up a private chat location online so everyone can communicate throughout the year and in between meetings.
  • The Board will meet monthly for quick roundtable discussions
  • The Board will meet quarterly to display financials with your board
  • The Board will meet annually in person, hosted by one of the members (in their city). The agenda at live events will still be led by Jason and Julie at Blumer.
  • Estimated time commitments:
    • Monthly virtual meeting: 90 minutes
    • Quarterly virtual meeting to review financials: 2 hours
    • Annual live meeting: 2 days

Pricing:

$4,500 annually in the summer each year for all partners and owners (beginning summer of 2024). We’ll present the first 6 months of each agency’s 2024 financials at this meeting.
$2,750/quarter – Sept 1, 2024
$2,750/quarter – Jan 1, 2025
$2,750/quarter – May 1, 2025
